The Roaring 20s Street Scene is Saturday, October 15 from 7-10pm on the 200 block of West Crawford St. in front of the Texas Theatre.
Experience Palestine as it was with a scene straight from the 1920s.
Dance in the street while enjoying live jazz music by the band Diddley Squat, learn the password to get beverages from Ben E. Keith is the alley way speakeasy, take tours of the famous Eilenberger’s Bakery and Texas Theatre and enjoy food by the new downtown restaurant Denbys. Costumes are not required, but encouraged. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Chamber or Palestine Visitor’s Center.

NYC photographer to hold debut exhibition in Texas

Healthy Rhythm Community Art Gallery is pleased to announce the 2-month Debut Exhibition of 17 year-old New York City photographer, Allison Flom.  Ms. Flom is the daughter of American music industry executive Jason Flom (Lava Records, Atlantic Records, Virgin Records, Capitol Music Group).  

 

The exhibition, titled “UNITY & FREEDOM: THE PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES OF ALLISON FLOM”, features 50 diverse photographic images of varying size.  Ms. Flom explores the coexistence of unity and freedom in everyday life.  Some photographs contain literal depictions of togetherness or friendship, while other images contain symbolic representations of what she believes freedom and unity to be.  “Freedom is constantly taken for granted and is only recognized in profound moments in our lives”, states Flom.  Some of Ms.
