Viewer submitted recipe: Seafood Stroganoff

From our KLTV cookbook called "Proud of East Texas," (what else?) comes a recipe for a quick seafood dinner.

The recipe was submitted in the 1998 by Diana Conine of Tyler. It sounds pretty simple, delicious, and quick:

Seafood Stroganoff:

1 pound shrimp, crawfish tails, or scallops (or a combination)
1 bunch of green onions, sliced (tops included)
1 stick of butter (ed. note: or a healthy Omega-3 butter blend, like Smart Balance)
4 TBS flour
2 TBS garlic powder (or to taste)
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced (ed. note: you can buy these pre-sliced to save time)
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp creole seasoning (any brand you like)
1/2 cup vermouth (optional, but definitely adds better flavor) (ed. note: white wine could be substituted if no vermouth on hand)
1 16 oz. carton of sour cream. (ed. note: light sour cream will cut fat and calories and still be creamy and delicious!)

Peel and devein shrimp, if necessary.

Updated: Dragged puppy, Poyner, needs help

UPDATE: Poyner has found a home with a local disabled man.  They are a happy pair now!

A dragged beagle puppy was found in the Poyner area, and his rescuer, Jacki Peck, needs your help! She is nursing his many wounds in her home, and has asked for donations of supplies to help get him back to good health.

She says, "I'm realizing that I need help with supplies for Poyner, such as puppy pads, baby wipes (unscented and no chemicals), or old clean towels that I can put him on so he is comfortable and I put the puppy pads on top of the towels.  He can't stand on his own for very long so he ends up peeing where he is laying so I am changing pads a lot.
